It’s the last day of the month today. In the sales world that usually means a great rush to find any revenue you can to meet your sales target. I did just that today and boy did I smash it. I think I deserve it though because I have really been putting in 100% every day this whole month.
I’m also really excited because I have begun to start putting into action, a business idea I have been thinking about for a while. (more…)
One very important lesson that I have learned is to just ask for whatever it is I am wanting. When I started out in sales it was the fear of rejection that stopped me from boldly asking for the sale when it got to that stage. In the end, I would usually get the sale, but it would be a could be a very drawn out process.

) I only have 340 days to go, whereas yesterday it was 342. Oh well, maybe I’ve lost a day blogging!
There is a certainly a lot of info out there on blogging, how to attract people to your blog, what to blog about, how to make your blog look different. It’s a slow process for me as I have never done anything like this before - but then that’s half the fun! (more…)
Work has been really busy lately, which is great. By work, I mean my salary paying sales job. I don’t plan to make my million through “work”, but rather a combination of having fun and being passionate about what I do. Sales have been increasing and I am steadily becoming increasingly confident in dealing with large corporate companies. I actually am finding it quite easy to sell to this market. I think it would be wise to use the skills in some of my ideas.
I guess the thing that’s at the back of my mind is that I haven’t actually DONE anything yet to generate revenue over and above my normal income. With each day ticking by, I feel more pressure to put my ideas into action. (more…)
What is the state of the world today? Some say we’re about to hit rock bottom in the recession, people losing jobs, not enough money to pay for things, the credit crunch…the list goes on.
Other people think - what a great time for opportunity! A thought just occurred to me - is now a good time for me to be making a million dollars? How can I do this, with the state of the world economy, with business confidence at an all time low? (more…)
Time. It’s without a doubt your most precious asset. Only it’s not an asset, it’s the most volatile thing on the planet. Who knows whether you’ll wake up tomorrow. We don’t know how much time we have left. So what does that mean for us?
Imagine you woke up tomorrow. You had a bad night’s sleep, you’re still tired and you really don’t want to get up. Your eyes are still closed, maybe you can just drift off back to sleep. Hold on, you’ve got that big meeting at work today. Oh well, I guess I’ll get up then….hold on I think my arms must have gone to sleep cause they won’t move. I can’t move my legs either! So I’m pretty stoked with my progress to date so far. My blogging is improving daily, and feel great about the information I am blogging about - I don’t even know if anyone is reading it, but it’s certainly helping me!

I’ve just organised my blog and started using the categories. So even though I’ve been blogging daily, I realised that a lot of my posts were more about increasing your knowledge, rather than “the diary of a millionaire”. So from now on, I’m going to make a daily entry into my diary, as well as adding more info in the other categories from time to time. It’s all about sharing your success!
So, 345 days to go. To me, that doesn’t seem very long at all. While this blog is still a work in progress, there’s a lot that I want to add to it, to make it more functional for the reader. It WHO you know! The age old saying - is it true? I sure as hell think so. I’m only just discovering this myself, and it does seem so much easier to make things work if you are talking to the right people.
It all boils down to relationships. I believe you can get better outcomes if you know the people you are dealing with. Especially if you have a relationship with a person or group of people. Why is this? I think it’s probably due to trust. (more…)
Learning new things can be fun. It can also be difficult. Not only to learn how to do those new things, but more importantly, to accept that there is something new that you want to learn.
As many people say - your mind is like a sponge. For this reason I believe that you need to be careful what information you let into that precious grey matter. Too much of negative, dis-empowering thoughts (even just hearing about them) and next thing you know you’re feeling down in the dumps. (more…)
